Donna Karan Biography

Donna Karan (born Donna Ivy Faske) is an American fashion designer and the creator of the Donna Karan New York and DKNY clothing labels. Karan began her career in the late 1960s as an assistant designer for Anne Klein, where she was promoted to associate designer in 1971.

Karan, as Klein’s assistant, took part in The Battle of Versailles Fashion Show on November 28, 1973.
